My favorite resorts to stay in when I go down to WDW are, maybe surprisingly, the Swan and Dolphin resorts. I enjoy the walk to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, the ability to lounge at the Boardwalk at night, but I realize this is not a Disney owned property. My favorite Disney created resort is the Animal Kingdom Lodge, which I have hung out at several times but have not had the opportunity to stay there yet. Maybe one day…
